The Lane at Four Stairs was named after the home, at 840 Leigh Mill Rd., which was originally built ca. 1730, and was restored three times. With each renovation a new staircase was added, until ca. 1928 it was named Four Stairs@. It is a rare example of a planter’s residence, and is the only extant such dwelling in Great Falls, Va.
For nearly a quarter mile, over ten acres of permanently preserved treed land, AThe Lane@ winds around and behind the Four Stairs Estate at 840 Leigh Mill Rd. . At this point, you have arrived at The Lane at Four Stairs, a truly private enclave of six Artisan designed homes. Bounded by streams and forest, it would nearly impossible to find a more beautiful setting for new homes. If you do, let us know. We would want to build there too.
In this setting, Artisan Builders has designed The Westchester named after the rural county where traditional homes dot the rolling landscape far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. The interior finishes and furnishings, were inspired by the spirit of Ralph Lauren, best described as causal elegance. Enjoy the tour!
