The Anamora was built by Five Oaks Homes to blend into its unique surroundings – a heavily wooded 2 acre lot with many old specimen trees close by downtown Vienna.  From the front elevation, the house is intended to appear as an 18th century Virginia stone house with clapboard wings added at a later time.  Local materials were used, including the red and white oak flooring that was milled from the trees that were felled on the lot to create a clearing for the house.  The colorful interior is state of the art, with a highly energy efficient clean air system that is based to a large measure on the healthy house guidelines of the American Lung Association.  This home presents an excellent example of the detailed design and sophisticated use of color, for which Five Oaks Homes has won numerous awards.
